Nasty Letters To Crooked Politicians

As we enter a new era of politics, we hope to see that Obama has the courage to fight the policies that Progressives hate. Will he have the fortitude to turn the economic future of America to help the working man? Or will he turn out to be just a pawn of big money, as he seems to be right now.

Counterpoint

Lloyd Lenard's hand should shake in rage over the lies and fraud that sent our kids to Iraq, not the courage and boldness needed to speak out against that unholy debacle.

We have seen the Bush administration use this war and the run up to it as a bully pulpit to sustain his approval ratings and scare Americans into supporting his greedy ambitions. But to hear it from Lloyd Lenard, there is only one side to be heard and that is, his.

We are not fighting the Nazis, Mr. Lenard. We are not fighting Hitler, Mr. Lenard. We are in Iraq doing terrible things--unspeakable horrors--to innocent Iraqis who now must defend their homes and person against an invading Army from the West the likes of which has never marched on the Earth before.

So when your hands shake and your eyes roll, sir, be glad you don't live in Falluja, a once great city of 300,000 people reduced to rubble by the same type of war crime that sent Nazis to the gallows.

My hands shake when I contemplate that a similar fate will not befall all war criminals, even those now sending our troops to their doom in Iraq.

Alan J. Franklin
