Big Dog's Birthday

Born this day in 1946, Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States (1993–-2001). With Senator Al Gore as his running mate, he defeated Republican incumbent George Bush and independent candidate Ross Perot to win the presidency in 1992. Clinton was reelected in 1996, defeating Republican challenger Bob Dole and Reform party candidate Ross Perot.

"There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America."

Bill Clinton, inaugural address, January 21, 1993
