Zawahri letter fake -: "Al Qaeda movement rejected as fake a letter by the group’s second in command Ayman al-Zawahri, issued by U.S. officials earlier this week, according Reuters news agency.
According to the letter, issued earlier by U.S. intelligence officials, Ayman al-Zawahri urged the movement’s leader in Iraq to prepare for an Islamic government to take over when the U.S. occupying forces withdraw from the country.
'We in al-Qaeda Organisation announce that there is no truth to these claims, which are only based on the imagination of the politicians of the Black (White) House and their slaves,' the group said in a statement posted on an internet site.
'This is proof of the obvious bankruptcy plaguing the infidels' camp,' said the statement.
'All of this is in a letter attributed to our Mujahid sheikh ... and naturally we do not know how and where this letter is to have been found,' it said.
U.S. officials claimed that the letter, which addressed al-Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was obtained during counter-terrorism operations in one of the country’s rebel strongholds.
The U.S. officials released the fake letter as Iraqis are a few days away from the crucial vote on the country’s new constitution."

(I think it is a terrible thing to have so little faith in your own government, that I have in the bushys...that I knew from the first minute I heard about this that it was a fake fake fake.
The whole scenario--letting the 'secret letter' slip out of the tightly controlled spin room in the White House--to finally going "Aw Shucks" and printing the whole thing.
