Nasty Letters To Crooked Politicians

As we enter a new era of politics, we hope to see that Obama has the courage to fight the policies that Progressives hate. Will he have the fortitude to turn the economic future of America to help the working man? Or will he turn out to be just a pawn of big money, as he seems to be right now.

The stink of Bush

When anyone thinks of the asteroid that struck the Gulf of Cancun 64 million years ago, they are reminded that it created a crater and a tsunami that destroyed most life on earth.

The resulting cataclysm blew millions of metric tons of earth and seabed into the atmosphere, creating a "nuclear winter" that lasted some 12 years, according to some scientists.

Now we have another cataclysm. It is the asteroid that struck America in November of 2000--the horrendous actions of the Supreme Court gang of 5 that has placed George W. Bush at the seat of power. It was the asteroid that struck our democracy. It was the end of life as we knew it. And barring that son of a bitch's desire to wrap himself in the flag and intone 9-11, it put a petty despot in our White House, complete with machine gun turrets on the roof.

He believes he is above the law. He writes his own 'interpretations' of the laws he is forced to sign against his will, such as the recently watered-down version of the McCain torture statement. He can spy on anyone he wishes without going before a judge and obtaining the necessary legal documents. He can put Jose Padilla in a Navy brig for nearly 4 years without charges. He can torture whomever whenever.

In short, we have a rogue elephant in our White House. We have a political establishment without the wherewithal to impeach the bastard or force him to resign. We are in limbo, waiting for the next fraudulent election and GopPig theft of votes. We live a nightmare while our national treasure and our youth are turned in to cannon fodder.

An era of corruption and complacency so sick and virulent exists as would make the USA the pitiful butt of jokes from the rest of civilized society. We do not lead anyone anymore...we bully. We show no example, except how NOT to do things.

And George Orwell, whose prescient novel 1984 has finally come to fruition in spades, would never believe how sick our government has become. We are Americans-in-waiting, a pregnant democracy waiting for a new birth of our liberties that have been crushed by the Bush-Cheney cabal.

When will this nightmare end?
