NEWS.com.au | Rebels, residents starving (November 17, 2004): "EXHAUSTED, hungry and unable to treat their wounded, rebels and residents in Fallujah were holed up today in the south of the battle-torn city where US-led forces hunted final pockets of resistance.
Those who remained in the former rebel enclave had little to live off.
Civilians were eating dates and any left over canned food and said that fighters had promised to give them something to eat but were desperately short of supplies themselves, an AFP correspondent in Fallujah said.
A US helicopter swept continuously overhead shooting at virtually anything that moved, he said."

Let us pray that he is visited in dreams by all the screaming and suffering innocents.
